Joshua LongbottomResearch Assistant
As a research assistant Joshua's work involves the recording of disease prevalence, vector occurrence and behaviour, public health interventions and socioeconomic data for use in space-time geostatistical models and public health planning. Interests of his include infectious disease risk mapping, and the factors contributing towards insecticide resistance within malaria and other tropical disease vectors. Whilst working within SEEG, Joshua has worked on projects defining the zoonotic niche of Lassa fever in Africa, and mapping trends of under-five mortality across Sub-Saharan Africa.
