Mike ThornMalaria Atlas Project Manager

Mike is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of the MAP portfolio of services, databases, infrastructure, and applications. He joined SEEG in January 2015 from a background in IT management within University central IT departments (Oxford Brookes University from 1994-2006 and University of Oxford from 2006). He does not have an academic or research role within the group. Instead, his focus is on:

  • the management of the MAP project work streams and staff
  • finding the most effective ways of supporting academic staff in terms of their approaches to IT
