Dr Oliver BradyAlumnus

Oliver completed his DPhil in Oxford in 2015 which used maps and models to evaluate global surveillance policies for dengue. This involved producing the first estimates of the global burden and distribution of dengue as well as dissecting the relative role of Aedes aegypti andAe. albopictus mosquitoes in transmission.

At SEEG, Oliver was a postdoctoral epidemiologist with an interest in modelling a number of vector-borne diseases and his work focused on approaching generalised public health problems through integrating epidemiological theory with mechanistic and statistical modelling.

Oliver was also part of the Malaria Modelling Consortium (MMC) secretariat which is responsible for generating consensus modelling advice on key elimination questions faced by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This involves focusing the efforts of five different modelling groups on a common problem set then summarising the consensus outputs for a number of public health and operational research audiences.

In 2016 Oliver moved to The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
